Each month on the last Friday of the month at 8pm, a group of Christians from Alton and the surrounding areas meet together to worship, pray and have fellowship.  We met at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Four Marks in August, and 5 churches were represented, pretty amazing for holiday time!

As we approached the church, we were met by a most impressive life sized cut out of a shepherd with a sheep, covered in colourful tiles created by the Youth during the summer.  Once inside 18 of us gathered to worship and pray for the various issues and events happening at both our and other churches in the area.  It is such a wonderful opportunity to hear how others do things and it’s really encouraging and inspiring to realise just how much prayer happens within and for our community. The evening is always finished off at 9pm by tea, coffee and biscuits with a chance to chat to fellow Christians.

Everyone is really friendly and you can go along to the group just on an occasional evening or be there for every monthly meeting, the choice is yours!

The next Prayers Together meetings will take place on:

Friday 28th September 8pm – In The Salvation Army Hall in Alton

Friday 26rth October 8pm – In The Methodist Church in Alton

Friday 30th November 8pm – In The Baptist Church in Alton

There is no meeting in December
