This is the third year of this GAP project to give mince pies to commuters at Alton Station. A team of volunteers put together 500 packs. Each one contained a mince pie, a napkin and details of the Christmas services in all the local churches. Each pack tastefully fastened with a red bow unless the mince pie was gluten free in which case the bow was green! (We think of everything.) It was dark at 6am when we arrived at the station but, thankfully, it was a fine morning. We all felt for the commuters who have to get up at that hour every day! The mince pies were well received and all of them had gone by 8.20!
Thank you to all the people who helped pack up or distribute the mince pies this year and to everyone from all the churches who donated them.
